[ Sometime in the evening - after the sun has gone down - there is a girl floating above the fountain. Just chilling out in mid air, one leg crossed over the over as she cradles what looks like, from a distance, an axe.

And she's playing it?

Ah. Those are strings. This is a bass axe. And Marceline is strumming it as she hovers over the water, singing softly to herself and occasionally twisting and moving in the air to the imagined beat of her song. ]

Gonna go on out there
Find out who brought me here and
Make them see
This just isn't the place for me
Gonna make them regret

... man, that totally sucks.

[ She stops playing to tune her bass instead, floating down to the ground so she can sit on the edge of the fountain instead. She keeps talking, but it's definitely not to any curious passerby. ]

Glad I found you, baby. Dad would be pre-tty mad if I lost you. Not that he's here. Whatever. [ Shrugs and keeps working.

Depending on who approaches her, she will do one of two things:

A) greet them casually.

B)

Pick your poison! ]

[Pilouette spent a bit too long at the item shop and is out a little later than usual, having found a few cute things for her apartment. When she hears someone speaking as she passes by the fountain, she approaches, ready to greet the girl she sees sitting there.

But when Marceline suddenly pulls that face, Pilouette lets out a high-pitched, squeaky scream and jumps, dropping her bag.]

EEEEK!!

[bassvamp]

[ Stares. Then shrugs. ]

Meh. That's getting kind of old.

[ She goes back to strumming her guitar. ]

Hasn't anybody here ever seen a vampire before?

[ribbonbon]

[It takes her a second to recover. Vampire. Okay. No biggie. A vampire is probably one of the least unusual things she's come across. Plus...she seems pretty chill. Pilouette decides to try and play it cool. She crouches down to pick up her bag as she answers.]

U-Um, well, I've never met like, a vampire before. I wasn't scared or whatever. You just kind of um, surprised me, I guess?

[She fails miserably at being cool.]

[bassvamp]

Oh yeah, totally. You're not frightened of the big bad vampire. [ ROLLS HER EYES. ] I'd show you what I can really do, but I don't feel like dealing with some fainting chick all up in my business. Listen, if you can't put up? Why don't you shut up. [ Flaps a hand. ]

[OUCH. Pilouette can't help but wilt a little bit, before recovering and standing up straight again. She has a reputation as a totally cool matureish adult-like person to hold up! ...Plus, she doesn't want this girl to think she's some kind of dweeb.]

I-I told you! I like, totally wasn't scared! I didn't even know you were a vampire until you told me! Besides I've faced stuff that was like, way scary before this! ...I fought a bear one time.
