one. action.
[ Sometime in the evening - after the sun has gone down - there is a girl floating above the fountain. Just chilling out in mid air, one leg crossed over the over as she cradles what looks like, from a distance, an axe.
And she's playing it?
Ah. Those are strings. This is a bass axe. And Marceline is strumming it as she hovers over the water, singing softly to herself and occasionally twisting and moving in the air to the imagined beat of her song. ]
Gonna go on out there
Find out who brought me here and
Make them see
This just isn't the place for me
Gonna make them regret
... man, that totally sucks.
[ She stops playing to tune her bass instead, floating down to the ground so she can sit on the edge of the fountain instead. She keeps talking, but it's definitely not to any curious passerby. ]
Glad I found you, baby. Dad would be pre-tty mad if I lost you. Not that he's here. Whatever. [ Shrugs and keeps working.
Depending on who approaches her, she will do one of two things:
A) greet them casually.
B)
Pick your poison! ]

[ Marceline floats over to her, head down and feet up in the air, and tucks her bass behind her back so she can fold her arms under her chin and inspect the little duckling. She holds out her hands, like she expects Duck to hop up on them. ]
Cool trick. Can you do that whenever you want?

Once she's done scurrying about and realizes that this floating girl isn't about to scare her again, she tentative hops into her hands and nods to the fountain. PUT HER THERE. ] Quack?

So you can't, like, change back? Or talk? That's pretty lame. But you're mad adorable like this.

Of course, when she turns back into a girl, she's ALSO NAKED. Her clothes are still lying abandoned on the pavement. ]
Well I turn back but getting w - OH! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! [ She turns a violent shade of red as she dives for her clothes again. ]
